WHO IS YASMIN H. ABREU

Yasmin H. Abreu became a Certified Dental Assistant in 1995. Her first dental experience was with Dr. Louis Colacicco dds as an oral surgeon assistant and she also assisted the general dentist. In addition she was responsible for the front desk for 5 years. After that, she gained a position at The Oral Surgery and Implant Center as a principal assistant for 3 years, where she acquired intricate dental skills. Yasmin was given the opportunity to join the Preferred Dental Care team, where she excelled in all of her dental assisting expertise for 7 years. With her diligence, experience, and enthusiasm, she came to be an executive assistant to all dental specialists. At Preferred Dental, Yasmin assisted the general dentist Dr Trivedi, and others. She was head assistant to Dr Hishemi, the orthodontist, head assistant to Dr Iyer, a sophisticated oral and maxillofacial surgeon and implantologist at NYU. Furthermore, she was lead assistant to Dr Sood, one of the general dentists and oral surgeons at the office. Lastly and certainly not least, she served as an assistant to every hygienist in the office.   

Yasmin was not just the head assistant to most of her doctors, she was also one of the top producers in case presentation and acceptance to all of these offices. In addition, she excelled in new patient acquisition and patient retentions. Yasmin enjoyed every responsibility she had and acquired unique management and training abilities that she imparted to new team members of the front and back office. 


Yasmin graduated from Drake College of Business as a certified dental assistant and Certified in business management in 1995. In 2012 she expanded and graduated from The NY Medical Career Training Center as a Medical assistant. She continued her education and took extensive and challenging business management courses to advance her expertise with MGE Management Experts and The Scheduling Institute, just to name a few. Some of the courses she expanded on were, but not limited to the following: 

 

Integrity - Morals - Ethics

Team leader and vison planning 

Creating and implementing office policies

Time management and organizational skills

Successful delegating techniques 

Scheduling for production 

Case presentation and acceptance / Selling with confidence 

New patient acquisition and retention

Defusing difficult team and patient situations

Identifying different types of personalities - tone scales

HR - Team recruitment and termination processes 


Yasmin did not stop there she is also a Florida Realtor. 

Certified in Real Estate Negotiations and a proud member of the National Association of REALTORS.
